NBAA Charities and the family of James Sullivan annually award $5,000 to one undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited technical or collegiate level aviation program. The James Sullivan Aviation Scholarship was created in 2025 by NBAA Charities and the family and friends of the late James Sullivan to honor his outstanding personal contribution to the business aviation community. Named for a remarkable man whose strength of character inspired a high standard of caring in the aviation community, this scholarship recognizes those individuals who have and strive to achieve the highest accomplishments in aviation. These individuals should possess a passion for aviation, as James Sullivan did, and utilize their interest or involvement in business aviation to enhance the lives of others.
